Thought I’d help spread the word… free stalls and a captive student audience sounds pretty sweet!

Nottingham Trent University Trade Market

Thursday 5^th March

10am -4pm

Stall Holders Required

The market will be taking place in the Nottingham Trent Student Union refectory

The refectory is a fantastic space with many students passing through, on there way to and from lectures and to and from the student Bar, Bank and Print shop.  

The university will be advertising the market amongst the student community and it will also be open to the general public. We will be getting Flyers printed up for this event and will be distributing them amongst all student halls and notice boards.

The Event will also be advertised on a variety of student websites and local newspapers and magazines. ( If you would like some flyers to distribute please let me know and I will send some out to you)  

The event will be open to the students and public from 10am and will close up around 4pm. (Setup time will be between 8:30am-9:30am )  

All size stalls are FREE

(subject to change for future events, but for as long as I can keep it free I will!)  

There will be an area for all stall holders to unload there stall and collect at the end of the day (details will be provided closer to date)

Unfortunately there is no parking available throughout the course of the day, but there is a car park nearby.  

Tables will be provided and electricity is available on request on booking form.

This will hopefully be the first of many markets, following dates to be confirmed soon

Our new boutique/shop/NCM HQ is open from today! Come in and find beautiful handmade crafty products from members of the Nottingham Craft Mafia. This is definitely a first for Craft Mafias in the UK, we’ve yet to enquire about those across the pond – but we don’t think anyone else has an operations base like we do! We believe this is a fantastic opportunity, especially in the lead up to Christmas, for our new members to get together and have a permenant base for their work. Very soon we will be inviting other Mafias in the UK to help stock the shop (it would be great to have some regional displays of Mafia talent don’t you think?)

Next week we’re having a party to launch the Craft Mafia properly and also celebrate the opening of our shop!

‘Get Made’ at The Malt Cross
Tuesday 11th November 6.30pm – 11.30pm
A reet ol’ Mafia knees up with cakes, treats, wine and a raffle and of course, a great opportunity to get to know the family. Come along (and bring your friends!)

Just a quick word to say thank you to everyone who came along to our little Meet & Greet last night – we were pleasantly surprised by the turn out! It’s so lovely to see what crafty treats Nottingham has to offer. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to speak to everyone (apologies as I was hot and snotty – sporting a Thom Yorke eye by the end of the evening), but hopefully you all got some quality time with at least one of us.

Exciting things are happening here at the NCM camp, and we’ve hardly just started! The best news is that fantastic pub and grub ex-music hall The Malt Cross have offered us their shop space next door (some of you may have enjoyed the pancakes at Bon Bons – what the space used to house). This is a really exciting development and could help a lot of our prospective members move up from fayres, markets and etsy and really get their work out there.

We’re holding a meet and greet event and would really love it if all prospective members or interested parties could come and say hello!
