Hello, my name is Helen I am a Nottingham based Textile Artist. I came to Nottingham about 15 years ago to do a degree in Decorative Arts and never left! Most of my work uses hand made felt, needle felting, machine and hand embroidery and appliqué. I love exploring colour and texture, and combining printed fabrics, buttons and yarn with the felt I produce. Recently I have been making a lot of wall hangings and pictures. I have been really enjoying making these as I get to do some really nice designs, can work on a big scale and enjoy creating different textures and looks. I love develop your ideas as you go.

As well as the wall hangings I also make, purses, bags, lampshades, tea and coffee cosies, brooches, covered books, peg bags etc… I do commissions (especially for the wall hanging and pictures), so if you see something you like, but want something slightly different just let me know.
